Institutional Strengthening

The general objective in this area is to strengthen the four pillars that lead to sustainable road conservation by the road institution. These pillars are financing, institutional management, maintenance management and the permanent participation of the users, while highlighting the following objectives:  

·             Insuring the sufficiency and availability of the road institution's financial sources. 

·             Restructuring the public and private institutions carrying out the analysis. 

·             Diagnosis of the organizational systems and the implementation of modern practices. 

           ·             Integral strengthening of the road maintenance administration, while improving the operating capacity of planning, programming, execution and control of the activities, implementing tools such as Maintenance Management Systems and Information Systems, while integrating the social and environmental aspects in road maintenance and strengthening the development of works and contracts for small enterprises. 

·             Training of the institution's personnel in all the aspects involved in the sustainable conservation of the roads.
